Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Mrs. Girija Subramanian, carries with her an experience of more than 36 years in the industry.

Mrs. Girija Subramanian holds a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Mumbai University. She is a Fellow member of the Insurance Institute of India and also an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.

Mrs. Girija Subramanian started her career as a Direct Recruit Officer in GIC Re in 1988 and has handled may verticals within GIC successfully.

Mrs. Subramanian joined as CMD of Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited in September 2022.

Subsequent to the order of Ministry of Finance dated 19th June, 2024, she joined as Chairman-cum-Managing Director, New India Assurance on 19th June, 2024.

Presently, she is in the capacity of Director on the Board of following Organizations –

(2) GIC Housing Finance Ltd., Mumbai
(3) Institute of Insurrance and Risk Management, Hyderabad (4) India International Insurance Pte Ltd., Singapore
(5) Health Insurance TPA of India Ltd., Mumbai
