Michael Roth holds the position as public sector practice lead for Munich Re’s Capital Partners division. He globally drives the development of (re)insurance business with public sector clients on (sub-) sovereign and superregional level as well as with development banks and organizations. Moreover, Michael is responsible for Munich Re’s public sector advisory services.

Prior to joining Munich Re, Michael has worked for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in various functions with focus on Financial System Development projects and initiatives in Asia and Africa.

Michael started his carrier in corporate finance (former HypoVereinsbank now Unicredit Bank).

He holds a diploma of economics from the Freie Universität Berlin (FU-Berlin).
