The facility offers participating nations open risk management tools, data and access to operational risk finance expertise, increasingly using the open risk modelling tools and knowledge resources funded by industry through the IDF to help nations quantify and manage their risks.

The GRMA is a key partner initiative for the Global Shield Initiative Against Climate Risks for 10+ countries. Through this channel, it provides assessment of available risk analytics and recommendations for essential improvement.

Co-founded by the IDF and the V20, it is funded primarily by the German Government, and operated in partnership by the IDF with the InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF) ISF at Frankfurt School.
