Role at Assicurazioni Generali: Group Head of Life & Health In Force Management – in charge of driving the optimization of the capital footprint and the value creation profile of the L&H books of business at Group level.
Until January 2025 he was the Chief Insurance Officer of International with responsibility on the life and non- life technical and insurance business areas of International Business Unit, including Central Eastern Europe, Mediterranean & Latin America and Asia, i.e. products, pricing, new business strategy, underwriting, in force management actions, claims management, reinsurance.
Previously he has been Head of Group Insurance Capital Solutions in Generali Group Head Office, where he was in charge of capital market transactions (ILS, securitizations, sidecars), structured deals (alternative risk transfer, VIF and runoff portfolio transactions) and strategic solutions (captive capital oriented vehicles and platforms) on the insurance risks of the Group life and non-life businesses.
Before joining Assicurazioni Generali in May 2013, he worked 5 years at Katarsis Capital Advisors, the parent company of an ILS fund (Eskatos) specialized both in P&C and life/A&H, where he was focused on catbonds, cat-derivatives, collateralized reinsurance, run-off opportunities and life settlements.
He spent 3 years at the Actuarial department of Eurizon Financial Group where he was in charge of the European Embedded Value and IFRS3 methodology and calculation. From beginning 2003 to late 2005 he joined the Capital Allocation department at Allianz-RAS where he had the responsibility to develop internal models measuring European Embedded Value and Risk Based Capital. He holds a degree in Banking Economics from Verona University, Italy.
