We are delighted to welcome Patricia Chacon, CEO of Porto Seguro, to the Insurance Development Forum Steering Committee.
Porto Seguro, one of Brazil’s largest insurers, became a member of the IDF Steering Committee in 2025. Patricia now joins the Committee, bringing more than a decade of executive leadership experience in the insurance sector, with deep expertise in innovation, digital strategy and advanced analytics.
Prior to joining Porto Seguro in 2023, Patricia held several senior leadership roles at Liberty, ultimately serving as CEO and building a strong track record rooted in business model innovation. In 2024, she also became the first woman in 80 years to serve as President of SindSeg SP, the Syndicate of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of the State of São Paulo.
Headquartered in São Paulo, Porto Seguro is one of the largest insurance companies in Brazil, with operations also in Uruguay.
Patricia’s leadership and commitment to innovation, diversity and inclusion will be invaluable as the Insurance Development Forum continues to work with governments, members and partners to close protection gaps and strengthen resilience.
