Editorial – Building Future-Ready Nations Through Co-Creation

“Building future-ready nations is not about exporting a fixed model, but about co-creating approaches that respond to real-world constraints and opportunities.”

In a new Insurance Day article, IDF Change Agent Ivo Menzinger highlights how the Insurance Development Forum is supporting countries to develop tailored, practical solutions that strengthen resilience.

From parametric flood protection in Lagos to agricultural insurance in Uzbekistan and humanitarian drought cover in Syria, the IDF is helping shift emerging markets and developing economies from reactive disaster response to pre-arranged, risk-informed financing—extending protection to more than four million people in the past year alone.

This is insurance at its most impactful: aligning public and private partners, strengthening institutions, and embedding resilience where it is needed most.
