Philippe Brahin is Director, Head of Insurance and Non-Bank Financial Intermediation (NBFI) in the Regulatory Affairs department of the IIF.
He oversees regulatory policy issues of interest to internationally active insurers and financial institutions. His work covers topics related to prudential standards, systemic risk, cross-border resolution, financial infrastructure, international accounting and securities. He also spearheads the dialogue and interaction with international regulators and policymakers in the above areas.
Philippe is a seasoned industry expert with 30 years of experience in the insurance sector, having held senior leadership roles across private sector and industry bodies, including Swiss Re, Securitas Capital, the French Insurance Association and the California Department of Insurance. At Swiss Re, Brahin served as Head of Regulatory Affairs & Sustainability, Head of Investor Relations and Head of Public Sector Solutions for the Americas. He also served as Senior Advisor to the Insurance Development Forum (IDF) and independent Senior Risk Consultant at AXA Climate.
